More important than the ‘what’ and the ‘where’, is the ‘why’.
Every single thing we do, say or think has an energetic repercussion. The best way I can describe it is to think of it like this; imagine that the powers that be have a mission; that they secretly conspire to make you the happiest you can possibly be during our lifetime. So, naturally they assume that you are going to actively seek out and participate in things that make you happy. To repetitively do something that makes you unhappy would be insane in their eyes! You get one short life, with no guarantee of when or how it will end. So the ‘powers that be’ assume you will use this precious time in the most constructive way. So, they take a look at your life, see how you are spending it and what you are intending it toward…then they throw more of the same stuff your way.
So, if you want to be happy and fulfilled by your career, occupation or job, then you have to figure out what will make you genuinely happy. A creative person who loves to write and has a passion for the arts is absolutely wasted in an office role typing at a desk all day. We all know this deep down; so you don’t need to be told. It’s obvious, your ‘why’ is the most important question you can ask yourself.
Want the perfect job? Do what makes you happy.
If you love making chocolate, then start making it in your spare time and sell it to friends or create a website. Love animals? Start helping out at a local animal charity. Basically, if you can’t do what you love immediately as a full-time vocation then start immediately to do it on some small way. No matter how. Show and tell the Universe what it is that you love. Intend all of your energy and focus toward it. Barriers and limitations are simply tests to see how dedicated you are to the cause.
Money is not the enemy. But money should not be the goal. Yes, it gets us shelter and sustenance. But start to live from your heart and you will receive abundance worth more than any money. Do what you love and your life will become full of passion and gratitude. You cannot take money with you; it can be taken away from you at any moment. So make your value and your life based on energetic value of deeper meaning. Love is priceless. Love what you do and let the rest sort itself out. Trust.
Follow your bliss. Live your passion.
Real work does not feel like work. I teach a yoga class once a week. I put hours and heaps of energy into the 75 minute session. Ordinarily I would be exhausted from so much planning and energy. But at the end of those 75 minutes, I am so full of life and love and gratitude that my life seems full to the brim. That is the best feeling in the world. If I could bottle that up and sell it on eBay, I’d be a millionaire! That feeling is amazing; it’s liberation, its bliss. So, if you’re wondering, ‘Am I in the right vocation right now?’ ask yourself, ‘does this feel like work?’ If it does, then it is not your passion. Be honest with yourself. Remember, small changes and including a little of what you love will lead to you reaping benefits in the long-term.
Your reward is the act of doing the job you love. No money is necessary.
The feeling alone is payment enough.
Don’t think too much about this; just find your perfect ‘work’ and include it in some small way every day or week. The rest will fall into place.
